Rina Kharrasova
Concert Pianist & Collaborative Artist

I was born in Russia and grew up surrounded by music — it was always a natural part of my life. Over the years, I’ve performed in many different places, from Moscow to Paris, from Teatro Verdi in Italy to the Hong Kong Philharmonic. What stays constant is a search for honesty in sound to reveal its real depth and share it with those who truly listen.
My current work grows from curiosity about how music interacts with other forms of art — visual, poetic, and spatial. A forthcoming four-part recording series explores this idea: creating spaces where piano sound, image, and story can meet naturally.
I studied at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and later at the Frost School of Music, where I continue my doctoral work. But more than anything, my life’s journey has come from listening to sound, to silence, to color, to people.
